An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Band 5/6 Specialist Respiratory Physiologist to join the busy Cardio Respiratory Department based in Clinical Investigation Unit. University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust (UHMB) is a large organization covering three sites across North Lancashire and Cumbria. This post is based at Royal Lancaster Infirmary with the flexibility to work across the other sites.

In the busy Respiratory Lab we perform spirometry, full lung volumes, transfer factors and bronchial challenges .

We are currently developing a CPET service working alongside other disciplines such as Pre OP assessment and Cancer Care.

Also sleep diagnostics and CPAP.

This is an ideal opportunity to expand your knowledge, skills and further your career

This post is open to Band 5/6 Clinical physiologists who would require further training.

Also full and part time applications are welcome.

Candidates must have BSc in Clinical Physiology and be registered with the RCCP.

Applicant requirements

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
