An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated nurse to join our innovative hospital based palliative care team.

You should posses excellent communication and influencing skills, have a keen interest in palliative and end of life care and have a flexible approach to work.

You will carry a caseload of patients with complex needs, contribute to the palliative education programme as well as on-going development of the palliative care service.

You will work as part of a well-established multidisciplinary team who provide specialist advice and support to patients, their relatives and members of the health care teams within the hospital. The service is offered to patients with both malignant and non-malignant disease and was rated as 'outstanding' for end of life care at our recent CQC inspection.

The post is 37.5 hours over 5 days

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.
