Permanent Trust Grade Middle Grade post available in Paediatrics and Neonates.

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust covers a large geographic which encompasses the Furness Peninsula, the city of Lancaster and the Lake District. Paediatric Services are provided on two main sites; at Furness General Hospital and Royal Lancaster Infirmary

The posts are based in the Paediatric Department at Royal Lancaster Infirmary and involve the day to day care of patients on the Children’s Ward, Neonatal Level 2 Unit, and attendance at clinics in the acute hospital setting.

You will be required to participate in the 1:7 resident second on call rota which includes night duties, twilight shifts and weekends.

The Paediatric Unit consists of 23 in-patient beds, including 2 High Dependency beds. There is also a busy Paediatric Assessment Unit incorporated as part of the Paediatric Unit. Patients under surgical consultants are jointly admitted under a Consultant Paediatrician.

You will be well supported in developing your CPD and will be allocated a mentor for career advice. After a period of assessment and review the Care Group will consider promoting these posts to that of Associate Specialist level
