University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust covers a large geographic area which encompasses the Furness peninsula, the city of Lancaster and the Lake District. We provide a comprehensive range of acute and support hospital services to a population of 350,000 based around Morecambe Bay. Ward 22 are looking for an experienced and motivated qualified nurse to join our team who will be able to act as an experienced, registered Nurse, with proven leadership skills, providing a high standard of care to our patients.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone ambitious and focussed to join the leadership team within Ward 22 Royal Lancaster Infirmary. This is a fantastic development opportunity of which full support will be given to achieve reasonable objectives.

Our patients experience a variety of acute and chronic conditions and our staff are professional, committed, caring and friendly.

We are seeking a caring, compassionate experienced Registered Nurse who can demonstrate excellent leadership skills, can delegate effectively, and work effectively and efficiently as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

We would like to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated nurse, to join our , dedicated, forward thinking professional team to lead and develop our service moving into the future.

You will be reliable, flexible, motivated, have excellent clinical and leadership skills, a commitment to ongoing learning and development, a commitment to delivering high quality care and be willing and open to embracing positive change and transformation meeting the demands of the community we serve.

The department is committed to appraisal, to support continuous education and professional development. You will be required to participate in providing 24 hour cover.

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.
