''A great place to be cared for; a great place to work''

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced individual to join our corporate cancer team to support the implementation of the new 28-Day Faster Diagnosis Standard across University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay.

This standard aims to ensure that all patients who are referred for the investigation of suspected cancer are told within 28 days if they do or not have a cancer diagnosis.

The post holder will be required to provide a comprehensive and confidential administrative function to ensure the smooth running of the project. This will include ensuring that relevant project documentation is up to date, monitoring project progress, escalating issues and organising meetings as required. The post holder will also be expected to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including senior staff, to support change.

This post is an ideal opportunity for a dynamic individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to participate in service improvement and develop within a busy and fast-paced environment.

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.
