Trust Associate Specialist in Ophthalmology based at Furness General Hospital (10pa)

Applications are invited for this post, based at Furness General Hospital (FGH) a District General Hospital situated on the fringe of the Lake District National Park.

We are looking for a Trust Associate Specialist to join the clinical team at Furness General Hospital. The post holder will be contracted for 10 sessions per week and will include an on call pattern on a rotational basis. We would ideally like to hear from clinicians with an interest in Medical Retina.

The Department of Ophthalmology across the three main sites presently consists of 9 Consultants, 10 Associate Specialists.

The University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust are situated in beautiful countryside around Morecambe Bay in North West England bordering both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Parks. The trust provides clinical teaching to Undergraduate Medical Students based at the University of Lancaster. It is expected that the appointee will contribute to undergraduate as well as postgraduate education.

You should be fully registered with the GMC with a license to practice.

Interview expenses will be paid from point of entry to the UK.
